The idea for this thesis evolved out of the author’s personal experience. The importance and power of the combination of design and programming became evident to the author during his studies and jobs. The first idea was to develop code libraries for programmers using Macromedia Director. Public accessible algorithms written in Lingo are still hardly available and the Lingo community would have been probably enthusiastic about these libraries. Over time, the idea mutated to the vision of a tool to empower designers. The result is a tool that is ready for use and freely available. Nevertheless, the development and further improvement will not stop after finishing the thesis. Hopefully the tool will be used by a broad audience to prove its helpfulness, and with a bit of luck, other developers will start to add their own modules and will invent new features the author has never thought of.
